The Account Director provides leadership across major client relationships and oversees the Account Management department. While leading multiple account teams, the Account Director is responsible for setting the strategic direction for key accounts, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring the agency's growth and profitability targets are met.

What You'll Do

Client Leadership:

  • Lead and grow the agency's strategic client relationships, and serve as the senior point of contact for C-level client stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for key accounts, identifying opportunities for organic growth and new business development.
  • Build and maintain strong C-suite relationships while positioning the agency as a strategic business partner rather than just a service provider.
  • Oversee the development of strategic proposals, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations for major accounts.

Department Leadership:

  • Lead and direct the Account Management department, including Account Managers and their teams.
  • Set and maintain department standards, processes, and best practices to ensure operational excellence.
  • Mentor and develop Account Management talent, and guide career progression and skill development.
  • Work with agency leadership to define and implement the department's growth strategy and resource planning.

Strategic Planning:

‍

  • Lead the strategic planning process for key accounts, ensuring alignment between client business objectives and agency recommendations.
  • Identify market trends and insights that can drive innovation and growth for both clients and the agency.
  • Collaborate with Creative and Strategy teams to develop innovative solutions that address client challenges and drive business results.
  • Oversee the development and presentation of high-stakes pitches and proposals.

Business Development:

  • Work closely with agency leadership to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Contribute to the agency's growth by leading major pitches and proposals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients and industry partners.
  • Represent the agency at industry events and forums.

Financial Management:

‍

  • Meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets for your portfolio of accounts.
  • Oversee account budgets, resource allocation, and financial forecasting.
  • Develop pricing strategies that ensure agency profitability while delivering value to clients.
  • Work with agency leadership on financial planning and reporting.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 10-12 years of agency experience with at least 4-5 years in a senior account management role.
  • Proven track record of growing and maintaining major client relationships with budgets exceeding $1M annually.
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing, digital transformation, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience with P&L management.
  • Deep understanding of the marketing and advertising landscape in Singapore and the region.
  • Track record of winning new business and growing existing accounts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellence in stakeholder management at all levels.
  • Extensive experience in integrated marketing communications and a proven track record of growing client relationships while driving agency innovation and excellence.
